Burning CD/DVD discs for Itunes

Itunes, one of the largest online video and music stores gives their customers the best quality of music and videos. People around the world buy and download them on a regular basis. Burning discs for itunes involves a step-by-step process. Before getting into the steps, you should know the requirements that your Disc burner should have to complete the process successfully. They include CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD-R, and DVD + R drives. Always use updated software from itunes. You can write up to 80 min of music on a 700md discs that equals to about 20 songs.

First select on what type of disc you want to burn, whether it is for backing up files or listening to music. For backing files, you need to choose a data CD or DVD. For a regular CD player use audio CD and for MP3 CD players use MP3 CD. Burning to regular audio CD is making audio tracks that play on regular players. The advantage of these itunes is that they do not support AAC and no AAC or protected AAC files are copied to the disc.

Once you meet the above requirements, start the process of burning the discs. Open itunes and go to ‘preferences’ button. Then click ‘advanced’. Among the options available choose ‘burning’ button .Select ‘audio files’ or any other disc formats available on the list that meet your requirements. To adjust the volume levels of the albums to a particular level, mark ‘use sound check’. Then ‘ok’. Select the play list, which you want to burn on to the CD. In addition, it is important to not that only files in the ‘play list’ can be burned on to the disc.

After selecting the play list, click the ‘burn disc’ button on the upper right corner. Your disc drive will open, insert your disc, click the ‘burn disc’ button again, and start burning. You can also select the speed of burning and try to keep it to the maximum level. This may take several minutes. After the burning is complete, in the ‘source’ column you will find the name (same as what you have saved) of your disc with a disc icon beside it. Click that and press eject.

For gap between the songs you need to select the number of seconds, you want to have between your tracks. If you want to cancel, the burn then click ‘x’ that appears on the process bar while burning and note that the cancelled disc cannot be used after canceling.
Always update the ‘date’ for each burning in the smart list, as the ‘date’ is your back up element.
